- ~20 big friends and 7 little friends (ages 0 - 6)
- a 4 year-old host who hand-delivered a piece of pita with yogurt-feta dip to everyone
- 3 vats of curry (aloo matar, muttar paneer, moghlai chickpeas)
- some rice
- a carrot salad (thanks, Carma!)
- a nice yogurt relish
- a little wine and a little beer
- a cake for someone who turned the "big four 0" (not me - I have another week)
- a few dozen molasses sandwich cookies
- some jazz
- confessions about watching reality TV (I've only watched The Real Housewives of Orange County once, I swear).
It all added up to a great time had by the hosts. We can't wait to add Saskia or Sasha to the mix!

That sounds fun! The only reality show I have watched is the Tori Spelling one, I don't know how I came across it but once I did I watched three episodes in a row.
I see your library on the blog - I have read almost every one of those books. What a coincidence! Reading is my favorite pasttime, I hope to be able to fit it in with Kazarina in the house. ;-)
Keeping my fingers crossed for you to hear something soon.

Sounds like it was a blast!
Hope you hear something soon so your baby girl can join you at one of your next fun parties!
How much fun, and how nice that Luca was a good host.
My husband gave me a HUGE shindig for my 40th (sigh, a year and a half ago) and I gave him A HUGE SUPRISE gig for his 50th. It was so much fun. :)
I love parties!!
So funny, I've been meaning to tell you this, one of my parents friends has a grandaughter named Saskia. It was one of the names my dad suggested to me when I said I was looking for a more "foreign" sounding name than the girl name I've had picked out since Sean was born (Samantha)
Isn't that funny..I had never heard of that name before and now you're talking about it. :)
I also love Sasha. I knew a little girl named Sasha when I was in 1st grade. She was blonde and very cute, that's all I remember. :)
Ok, can I come? Oh my gosh does that sound good! One of my favorite cuisines to cook is Indian. Not only does it taste so good, but it is so fun to make. Naan in a regular oven is a juggling challenge! And I adore sour chickpeas (khatte chhole)! And I made Aloo Gobi just this weekend. Ah... I want to come to your house and eat. :-) Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun.
