Look at how Alia has changed! It brings tears to my eyes!

She is glowing!!! Just the picture of delight...hers and yours! And it will only get better! Did you find that Halloween costume yet???

I am so happy for you. And man, I know everyone says it, but those cheeks! Someday they will be gone and in place will be a young girl's face, but for now they are so perfect!!!

Congratulations again! Is she going to be a hyphenated name or is your last name her middle name? I was hyphenated growing up. :)

She is just as happy now as you are! What a doll! I'm so glad you are closer to bringing her home.

I'm also sad that I'm going to miss Scott, Grandma and Alia by mere hours in Almaty! With my middle of the night flight, I'm sure we won't even pass in the airport!

The time will fly by, even though each day might seem like forever. That sounds weird, but is how it has been for me. One day at a time! Almaty is a wonderful city, so hope they can get out and enjoy it before heading home to Mama!

what a sweet lil cherub..she just radaites joy. you can tell she is saying...my name is Alia and my parents and my bro are ROCKIN!

such a sweet face.
On the plane ride from almaty to Frankfurt, we saw 3 other fammilies (not american's) with 3 babies. One woman was blondish with a Kazakh baby girl, other couples were dark haired with blond kiddo's like Leeza. I so knew they were also adopted kiddo's, but I didn't want to invade their privacy and ask.

Woo hoo-we had both said we thought we'd be home for Halloween and we are!!
I had "estimated" the week of Oct 22nd and we got home Oct 21st! Not a bad guesstimate.....

I know you are so excited to get that girl home and for her brother to get to know her!

jet Lag stinks-but i am sure i will not lose 15 lbs like you did.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I'm so delighted for you all. She is so precious --what a beautiful sweet looking girl! And what a change in such a short time. I loved seeing her on the couch, and on the blanket (on the floor), just out of the tub, and in the walker that our own little ones were in not so long ago.

I can't wait to meet her in person! I definitely think we need to schedule a playdate!

Congrats again. What a special little girl.
