We really are a CURIOUS bunch, aren't we?
I came across that image yesterday - it accompanied a good article on worrying which I was doing, but it wasn't associated with our adoption really. I didn't even think about the title of Susan's post announcing great news from a few weeks ago.
So, here I am - unwittingly outing myself.
We do know our region. The funny thing is that we have known it for a while now! The timing was a miracle. I was pretty low, doing lots of doubting and POOF! we knew something. In keeping with the espionage and intrigue of Kazakhstan adoption (there IS a dossier involved here, you know), I won't actually post about our region until we are there. Sorry - top secret :)!
Keep the faith!
P.S. To mark the occasion, I created a poll on the right. Some of you know that Luca came up with the name Saskia. Some friends think we should keep it, some don't. What do you think?

I think Saskia is a great name. My friend started calling her baby an old family name as a joke while she was pregnant & became so attached to it she actually named her son that. She didn't even like the name at first.
Or if you have another name picked out just wait & see which name seems to fit her.
Congratulations! That is so exciting.
Saskia is a beautiful name, but for what it's worth, I am of the opinion that the name has to fit the child. Once you meet her, you'll instantly know whether she's your Saskia or...
Secrets secrets are no fun, secrets secrets hurt someone! :-) Just kidding! Glad you know your region and I completely understand wanting to keep it to yourselves.
I like the name too and agree with Karen. When you see her, you will know.
I think the name Saskia is beautiful. I vote yes! LOL! So glad to hear you have a region AND glad to hear that we aren't the only ones planning on keeping our region assignment secret until we get there and accept our referral. (We don't have a region assigned yet , but when we do...) Can't wait for you to travel to meet your little one!! What joyful times for you!

Very nice! :-D Congratulations!
i love the name Saskia. it was actually my dad's suggestion for us to name our baby kaz should she be a girl. One of my parents bestest freinds have a daughter named Saskia.
I think you will know when you meet her. she may have a wonderful name that fits her.
I, like you, have names in mind, but i am hoping that her given name is something pronounable that we can keep. Their names usually have such wonderful meanings to them.
I think you'll know when you meet her and spend time with her.
go with your gut. :)
GREAT NEWS!! We are kind of weird like that...all about the jinxing if you tell. Keep it private. I love Saskia it is a great name, but I wonder that too; will she be Saskia when you meet her, or will she look like a Lucy? Let's not talk about it...we'll just be surprised!:)
OH MY!!!! now we are DYING to find out the region! Totally understand why you are holding back though.
Saskia is a pretty name. That's my opinion!
I just wanted to wish your family a Happy 4th of July!!!

Keep it. I mean can you really imagine calling her anything else. and luca picked it so it would really make him feel like he made a big huge decision. personal opinion, give her maybe 2 middle names (if you plan on keeping the birth name) just in case she ever decides she would rather be a nicole or a lynn or something...but thats just me.
and congrats on the region. this is all very exciting news.
Congrats on your region assignment--hoping for quick travels for you.
I love the name Saskia but also agree with Karen--You will know whan you meet her.
You can't go wrong with whatever name your family chooses!! If you go to Petropavlovk, there will be several of us who'd be happy to share insight. Best wishes, Susan & Griffin from Austin
I feel like I missed something. That is great news and means that you are getting closer. I agree with Karen with the naming. You know what we did. Rustam would have been Nate, a name we have been quite attached to for awhile for various reasons. But we felt like it didn't fit him after we met him. Looking forward to being surprised by your LOI announcement.
Congrats on knowing your region - that's a huge step towards your little girl!
I like the name and if it fits her (and you like it) I say keep it. Even if you're slightly unsure that it fits her, it will eventually. We picked out the name Joey long before our son was born but when I saw him I said "He is not a Joey. He is an Adam" Rod put his foot down bcs, afterall, we had been calling him Joey for months. He is now 100% a Joey. If you keep Saskia, she will be 100% a Saskia.
Congrats on knowing your region! Hopefully you're almost there.
